The hand-painted Cross of the East has been used by the Church of the East since its establishment in the 1st century as the Apostles were called to preach the Good News (the Gospel) to the 4 corners of the world. The three circles on the four corners of the cross represent those 12 Apostles. The Church of the East spread Christianity as far as India, Mongolia, China, and Japan; being the most successful Apostolic Church of its time in its evangelical missions.

This jacket also pays homage to and honours all of the Saints and those who have been martyred for Christ throughout the generations.
