re-used vintage 70s quilted military liner jackets
featuring an embroidered front script,
and back graphic of Mar Toma & Jesus,
consisting of over 80,000 embroidered stitches

The detailed embroidered graphic on this liner jacket is our adaptation of the original Syriac manuscript from 1723; ‘Thomas Touching the Wound of Jesus’.

Mar Toma (Saint Thomas), represents the Apostles who bore the Good News to the children of Mesopotamia and thus became enlightened by Christ. The graphic depicts his encounter with Christ and the wound he physically touched to expel his doubt of our Lord’s resurrection:

‘Then He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.”
And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!”’ (John 20:27-28).
