The beautiful and picturesque village of Dooreh, located in the Barwari region, is situated near an ancient Assyrian fortress. The name of the village is derived from an ancient Akkadian word “dūrum” (“fortress/wall”), which made its way into Syriac as “dūrā” (“ridge/enclosure”), no doubt inspiring its name.
 
The cozy and rugged style of the mohair scarves & blankets perfectly reflects the traditional Assyrian lifestyle; suitable for the mountains or in the valley, yet stylish and versatile.
